Colleen Cleary is the principal, and founder, of CC Solicitors and leads a partner led team who are highly experienced in providing strategic advice on employment matters, partnerships and board disputes to a broad range of clients.

CC Solicitors is also ranked in The Legal 500 and Chambers (2019) and is noted for its “adepts and savvy litigators” as well as Colleen being noted as a leading lawyer in Who’s Who 2022 as an “outstanding employment law expert” who is “very experienced and excellent to deal with”.

She is hugely experienced in advising on internal investigations, board and partnership disputes and skilled in negotiations. She is often quoted in the media as an expert in employment law as well as thought leader in the area of equality and diversity.

Colleen is also qualified in England and Wales and has practised in the City of London. Colleen is an experienced litigator and conducts her own advocacy and has been awarded a certified in advanced advocacy with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy with the Law Society of Northern Ireland. She is also an accredited mediator with CEDR.

Colleen Cleary is the founder Ireland member of Innangard, an international network of law firms that specialise in employment law. Innangard recently launched Innangard Executives, which is a specialist group within the alliance, which focuses on advising executives, partners and founders.

Colleen was previously chair of the Employment Law Association of Ireland (ELA). She is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and specifically the ABA International Labour and Employment Law Committee. She is also a member of European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), Professional Practices Alliance and the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) in the UK and is on ELA Standing Committee on Sexual Harassment.

Regan is a Partner, specialising in employment law. She advises employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship, both contentious and non-contentious. This includes advising on compliance with Irish law and/or best practice in respect of contractual documentation, day-to-day employee relations matters, data protection, HR policies and procedures, corporate restructurings and business immigration. She provides practical guidance in respect of transfers of undertakings, internal investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, discrimination claims, complaints of bullying and harassment in the workplace, as well as penalisation for protected disclosures, and workplace stress claims. She regularly advises in relation to the negotiated terminations of senior executives.

Regan also has significant litigation experience. She conducts her own advocacy in employment matters before the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court, and case manages injunctions, breach of contract, personal injury and judicial review proceedings in the Superior Courts.

Regan holds a Bachelor of Civil Law as well as Diplomas in Business Studies and Employment Law from University College Dublin, and MAs in literature from both UCD and the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining CC Solicitors, Regan spent several years in the employment team of a large Irish commercial law firm and also worked in the Dublin office of a UK defence litigation firm. She is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, Employment Law Association of Ireland and the European Employment Lawyers Association.

PAUL CAHILL

Paul is a Solicitor, specialising in employment law. Paul advises clients on all aspects of the employment relationship, both contentious and non-contentious. Paul has experience drafting contracts, policies and handbooks, managing complex employee relations issues and litigating claims in the Workplace Relations Commission as well as in the Civil Courts. Paul has advised clients on terminations, managing redundancy processes, internal investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, data protection, protected disclosures and severance agreements.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics, as well as a Barrister at Law Degree from the Kings Inns, a Masters in Human Resource Management from National College of Ireland and an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection Law from the Kings Inns. Prior to joining CC Solicitors, Paul worked in the Employment Law and Benefits team of a commercial law firm and also worked as a Barrister at the Law Library of Ireland. Paul is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Employment Law Association of Ireland.
