The Employment Law Association of Ireland held its Annual Dinner and launch of the Dr. Mary Redmond bursary programme at The Westbury Hotel 8th October 2015. Lord Justice Elias, the honoured guest speaker delivered the ‘Dr Mary Redmond Memorial Lecture’. As Chairperson, it was an honour for our managing director, Colleen Cleary, to host this gala evening.

Stamping out workplace harassment

CC Solicitors attended the International Forum of Senior Executive Advisers (IFSEA) conference in London on 14th of June, which was sponsored by Innangard. As Chair of Innangard, the international alliance of specialist employment lawyers, Colleen was delighted to see many of the members speak at the event and to have an opportunity to exchange knowledge on topical issues. IFSEA is an international thought leadership group, focussed on the needs of Senior Executives and Founders in all their risk, reward, regulatory and reputation management areas. Colleen also contributed to an international  panel on how to stamp out harassment in the workplace; other discussions included practical tips on how to avoid a mismanaged investigation as well as a fascinating discussion on the impact of the narcissistic leader on an organisation.  It was a truly international excellent conference with fantastic speakers.

Certificate for Workplace Investigations

After a 5 day intense program in Santa Barbara California in February 2023, CC Solicitor Founder, Colleen Cleary received her Certificate for Workplace Investigations from gold standard US based Association of Workplace Investigations (AWI). The aim of this accreditation is to hone best in class skills and strategies in internal workplace investigations. Colleen has been managing complex internal investigations and appeals on behalf of a number of organisations and boards for the duration of her career.  She and the team at CC Solicitors are regularly called on to advise on the conduct of investigations, relating to disciplinary proceedings, serious misconduct, whistleblowing, bullying, sexual harassment and discrimination. CC Solicitors were listed in the top 100 law firms in Ireland in the Employment category. More than 1,000 legal professionals took part in the Irish Independent peer-to-peer survey which selected the country’s leading firms and their areas of expertise. The list is based on recommendations made by solicitors working in law firms and business clients. The survey was conducted online between March 28 and May 20, 2022, and a total of 1,026 legal professionals took part.
